    Bob brings over 30 years of board-level experience across the NHS and wider public sector, including senior executive NHS roles at regional and national level, and more recently a portfolio of non-executive positions including London Ambulance Service and South West London ICB. Bob has extensive leadership experience in finance, governance and system working. Bob has an MBA and is a fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.     Professor Tim Orchard CBE

    Group chief executive (single accountable officer for all four trusts)

    Tim became Group chief executive with the formation of the Group on 1 April 2026. He was the chief executive of Imperial College Healthcare from 2018, and was the Trust's divisional director for medicine and integrated care before that. He first joined the Trust as a registrar in 2000 and continues to work as a consultant gastroenterologist. With an undergraduate medical degree from the University of Cambridge, he trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School and was a research fellow at the University of Oxford, before completing his training as a gastroenterologist in the hospitals of north west London. He was appointed professor of gastroenterology at Imperial College London in 2012. He is a recognised expert in the field of inflammatory bowel disease and an accomplished educator and fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Tim has previously been the chair of The Shelford Group, a collaboration between ten of the largest teaching and research NHS hospital trusts in England, for whom he currently sits on the board of the Office for the Strategic Coordination of Healthcare Research. He chairs the NHS's national Statutory and Mandatory Training Assurance Board, aiming to streamline training and focus it on reducing harm more effectively.

  • Baljit Ubhey OBE

    Non executive director

    Baljit joined the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as a legal trainee in 1992, later qualifying as a prosecutor in London. Baljit has since held many roles including chief crown prosecutor of CPS London. In January 2017, Baljit was appointed as the director of prosecution policy and inclusion, leading a policy team within the CPS' operations directorate whilst leading on equality and inclusion across the service. In September 2019 Baljit became the director of the strategy and policy directorate. In addition to her career with the CPS, Baljit has held a number of external roles such as non-executive director for Barts and The Royal London Hospital and has worked with a number of charities.   • Catherine Williamson

    Catherine is a professor of women's health at Imperial College London and also consultant in obstetric medicine at Queen Charlotte's, St Thomas' and King's College Hospitals. She is a fellow and council member of the Academy of Medical Sciences and is an honorary fellow of the RCOG. She is the maternal medicine representative on the RCOG Genomics Committee. Her research focuses on the maternal and fetal aetiology, outcomes and management of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, gestational diabetes mellitus and severe hyperemesis gravidarum. Professor Williamson was chair of the writing group for the EASL Clinical Practice Guideline for Liver Disorders in Pregnancy and is currently writing the FIGO Guidelines on Management of Liver Disorders in Pregnancy. As director of the Tommy's National Centre for Preterm Birth Research she coordinates a research portfolio that aims to understand the aetiology of preterm birth, develop research-informed interventions and provide improved support for women affected by preterm birth, a complication that affects the pregnancies of many women with obstetric medical disorders.
