    Meghana trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Oxford Deanery and was Visiting Lecturer in Urogynaecology at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Meghana was Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Clinical Director and then Divisional Director at Milton Keynes before joining University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) where she was Chief Medical Officer from May 2012 to December 2018 and Deputy Chief Executive from 2014. Meghana completed an MBA from Oxford Brookes University and the Innovating Health for Tomorrow Programme at INSEAD, Fontainebleau. She was awarded the Founding Senior Fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Management and Leadership and is an Honorary Professor at Warwick University. She is Associate Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. As Chief Medical Officer at UHCW, Meghana led the development of clinical strategy and had responsibility for Clinical Quality, Risk, Medical Education, Research and Development, and Legal Services. She was Responsible Officer for over 500 doctors and undertook clinical office based Gynaecology. As Chief Medical Officer at Oxford University Hospitals, Meghana had responsibility for Clinical Safety and Outcomes, Infection Prevention and Control, Medical Education and Research and Development. She was also Responsible Officer for over 1,000 doctors. She was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (fixed term) of Oxford University Hospitals from 1 July 2022, and appointed as Chief Executive Officer (permanent) in February 2023. Meghana was appointed as Co-National Medical Director - Secondary Care in the NHS Transformation Executive Team which will help to lead NHS England's transition into the Department of Health and Social Care on an 18-month secondment with effect from 1 April 2025. Her national leadership role changed to Deputy Chief Executive Officer to Sir Jim Mackey (NHS England CEO) from 1 April 2026 spending 50 percent of her time with OUH and 50 percent of her time in her national role from this date. Meghana continues her association with Warwick University.

    Simon Crowther

    Interim Chief Executive Officer

    Simon was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in May 2024 and joined the Trust on 30 September 2024 from University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust where he was Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive. Simon formerly held roles at Board level in a number of NHS organisations, and throughout his career has worked across different sectors and health communities within the NHS. In his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Simon focused on areas including strategy, planning, improvement, innovation, and delivery. He also deputises for the Chief Executive Officer as and when required. Simon was appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer in March 2025 when Professor Meghana Pandit was appointed as Co-National Medical Director – Secondary Care in the NHS Transformation Executive Team which will help to lead NHS England’s transition into the Department of Health and Social Care. Simon took up the post of Acting Chief Executive Officer on 1 April 2025 when Meghana began her 18-month secondment. Simon was appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer in September 2025 to cover the remaining period of Meghana's secondment.

  • Dr Ben Attwood

    Chief Digital and Information Officer

    Ben, who has spent the past 25 years in clinical training and practice with 10 years of experience as a Consultant in Intensive Care and Anaesthesia, joined the Trust as Divisional Director for Clinical Support Services (CSS) in March 2022 and took up the post of Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) on 14 October 2024. During his career he has developed expertise in not only the use of digital technology to transform patient care but also senior medical management and leadership. Before joining OUH he was Chief Clinical Informatics Officer and Associate Medical Director for Technology and Transformation at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. In his role as CDIO, Ben will lead the use and adoption of new digital technologies and approaches including AI, in order to enhance the working lives of colleagues and improve patient experience.

    Interim Chief Strategy Officer

    Appointed March 2026 Jay joined the Trust in 2017. In his previous role as Commercial Director, he established the Trust's Commercial Function, which has grown since 2019 to lead strategically aligned commercial activities across areas including private patients, innovation, property development, investments and high value transactions. Jay has played a key role in developments including the new Surgical Elective Centre, which will open on the John Radcliffe Hospital site in 2026, the development of high quality and affordable staff accommodation, and the Oxford Hospitals Education Centre (OxHEC). Jay is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has both private sector experience with Deloitte, Ernst and Young and within industry, and public sector experience with NHS Improvement and the Department of Health.

  • Professor Andrew Brent

    Chief Medical Officer

    Andrew trained in medicine in Cambridge and Oxford followed by postgraduate medical training in London and Oxford. He was appointed as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals in 2015. From 2018 to 2021 he was Clinical Lead for Infectious Diseases, and then Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Improvement from 2021 to 2023, prior to his appointment as Chief Medical Officer in October 2023. A clinical academic by background, Andrew was a Wellcome Trust Fellow at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kenya from 2002-2003 and from 2008-2012, where his research focused on invasive bacterial disease and tuberculosis. He was regional clinical lead for sepsis and deterioration for the Oxford Academic Health Sciences Network (AHSN) from 2016 to 2023 and has contributed to national studies and task and finish groups for both sepsis and COVID-19. He has a Masters in Epidemiology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and has been an examiner for the University of Oxford and the Royal College of Physicians. He is a Visiting Professor of Infectious Diseases and Medicine at the University of Oxford.

    Terry joined the Trust in February 2020 from The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was Director of People and Organisational Development.
